MORE EUROPE – external cultural relations 2019 European Parliament elections campaign aims to foster a stronger recognition of the international dimension of the European Union cultural relations and to encourage new MEPs and EU officials to consider this dimension in their future endeavours.
The aim is to highlight the role of culture in international relations, the power of culture and its potential to build synergies and cooperation with the rest of the world as well as contributing to position the EU as a global actor.
The campaign will bring together different professionals from the cultural community as well as experts in the field of international cultural relations.
In times of rising nationalism and populism, let’s demonstrate how intercultural dialogue can contribute to unity, to openness, cooperation and mutual understanding. Towards greater recognition of the cultural dimension in the European Union’s external relations and to the promotion of harmonious relations between individuals.
