Sociologist & Urbanist

Malte Bergmann is a sociologist specialised in the creative industries and urban research. His main research interest has been on every day practices in the city, social innovation and “bottom up” urban development. At Multiplicities, he is involved in research and consultancy projects. He currently works for the German Society for Design Theory and Research (DGTF) and teaches at the John F. Kennedy Institute of the Freie Universität Berlin.
He also works as a freelance trend analyst and social entrepreneur.
